Get books from storage

You can request books to be delivered from storage for pick up at your library location through the Library Catalog or in person.

Request storage items through the Library Catalog

The items will be delivered to the circulation desk and held for you.

  1. Find the item in the UIC Library Catalog.
  2. Select the tab to “Request.”
  3. Log in with your library account (you can create an account here if you don’t have one).

Warehouse retrieval takes at least two business days. If you are picking up from a location other than the Richard J. Daley Library, delivery will take longer. You’ll get an email when the book is ready to pick up.

Request storage items at the Circulation Desk

You can request items in person at the circulation desk at any library location. The more information you provide about the item (Call Number/Title/Author), the easier it is for us to find it.
