Short Descriptions of Fall Workshops
Introduction to BrowZine:
BrowZine organizes the library's journal subscriptions allowing you to browse, read, and monitor scholarly journals across disciplines on your smart phone or tablet. Learn how to download BrowZine and take advantage of special features in this workshop.
Introduction to RefWorks:
Learn to organize your research citations into a personal database accessible from anywhere. You will learn to create and share folders, add references to your account from within databases, create bibliographies, and even use RefWorks to format your research from within Microsoft Word.
You may also sign up for an individual or small group workshop at a time of your convenience. Contact Kelly O'Brien at (815) 395-5658 or firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment.
Suggested topics: RefWorks, Mobile Resources, Drug Information, Nursing Resources, Choosing the right Health Sciences Database, or an introduction to any database (PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus). You can also schedule a library tour. Please ask about anything you are interested in learning that you don't see here.
