Microfilm and Microfiche
Viewing and Printing Microfilm and Microfiche
Daley Library
Journals, newspapers, reports, government documents, maps, building permits and annual reports of companies preserved on microform, microfilm or microfiche.
Finding microfilm and microfiche:
- Find the call number in the Library Catalog.
- Go to Microforms area on the 2nd Floor at the south end.
- Find the file cabinet containing the correct call number.
Borrowing:
Microfilm is available for use in the Library but not to check-out.
Viewing and Printing:
Microform readers and printers are available on the 2nd floor at the south end of Daley Library.
Electronic copies:
Save electronic copies to disc, USB drive or as an email attachment using the microform scanner available on the 2nd floor at the south end of Daley Library.

LHS-Chicago
A reader is located on the 1st floor for viewing microfilm and microfiche only. A newer reader is located on the 3rd floor of the library in Special Collection. Scanning and printing from the microfilm/microfiche format is available from this machine.
The reader will officially be available when Special Collections is open: Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
