LHS-Chicago
LHS-Chicago provides thesis binding service for UIC conferred degrees.
- Copies of theses/dissertations submitted for binding must be in separate envelopes provided by the student.
- Affix a photocopy of your thesis title page to the outside of each envelope.
- Submit the Thesis Binding Request Form. Please legibly type or print this form; the information provided on this form is used for binding purposes, so be sure all words in the title are included and spelled correctly. Write out your name as you want it to appear.
- The cost per thesis/dissertation copy is $7.85.
- The Library will accept cashier's checks and money orders made payable to the "University of Illinois at Chicago". No cash, personal checks or credit cards are accepted as payment.
- Your e-mail address (our preferred method of contact) and a daytime telephone number must be included on your cashier's check or money order.
- Submit copies of the thesis/dissertation, the completed request form, and your payment to the Circulation Desk of LHS-Chicago.
- E-mail notification will be sent when your thesis is ready for pick-up (approximately 4-6 weeks). Bound thesis/dissertation copies can be picked up at the Circulation Desk all hours the Library is open.
- Proper UIC identification is required for pick-up of materials. Alternate pick-up persons must show valid identification as well.
- If there are additional questions, call us at (312) 996-8985.
Please note: the Library is not responsible for thesis/dissertation copies that are not in order or have missing pages, etc.; therefore, it is important that users check each copy prior to submitting it for binding.
