The UIC University Library is pleased to announce that a test version of a new system for searching for archival materials and viewing finding aids in our Special Collections and University Archives is now available online. We hope you will find that the new system makes it easier to find specific items you are looking for as well as explore and discover collections and materials in our holdings you may not be familiar with. You can use the system to search for your topic or browse popular topics. You can still also access our finding aids by title using our old system until June 2020.
The Library supports research, learning and teaching for the UIC community, K-12 and lifelong learners. Our diverse collections are available to anyone interested in Chicago and Cook County history, design, history of health sciences, political history related to Chicago, settlement house movement, social justice, women’s rights and the history of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Holdings include manuscript collections, rare books, photographs, digital collections and university records.
So come explore, discover and learn – and please let us know what you think of our new search system! Email feedback to Pamela Hackbart-Dean at email@example.com.
