Download iCal FileAre you curious about who is citing your work—or the work of your research team—and how those connections shape scholarly networks? Do you want to identify researchers at specific institutions referencing your department’s publications or explore patterns of collaboration in your field?
This workshop introduces VOSviewer and Bibioshiny, which are free tools that enable researchers to perform bibliometric analysis and visualize publication data (authors, keywords, citations, collaborations) and exploring research trends, mapping networks, and identifying influential works and gaps. VOSviewer is an open access tool developed by CWTS at Leiden University. Biblioshiny is a web-based tool built on the Bibliometrix R package. Participants will learn the fundamentals of bibliometrics, explore network visualization options available in Scopus and Web of Science, and gain an overview of additional impact metrics.
