Download iCal FileWhat does Chicago mean to you? Is there a place, person, community, environment or piece of history that has shaped your experience of the city, or something you wish more people knew about?
At Wikicurious, you’ll learn how to edit Wikipedia: create a new article, improve existing ones, add reliable information and sources and more. You’ll also learn about the community of editors working to fill gaps in the public record and explore how open, collaborative knowledge production can help make Chicago’s diverse histories and communities more visible.
The event is organized by Wikimedia NYC and the Wikimedians of Chicago User Group and co-sponsored by UIC Library’s Digital Scholarship Hub and other UIC campus partners.
Refreshments will be provided.
