Visiting the UIC Library

The UIC Library is open to those with an active iCard by reservation only. The booking system ensures that library spaces adhere to current University and Library safety guidelines and allows for contact tracing if necessary. Get details, including accommodations for library use.

Seat Reservation

Reservation is now mandatory, for Seats, Computers, Printing and Circulation, when visiting the Richard J. Daley Library and the Library of the Health Sciences-Chicago. You can Reserve Now online.

Entering the library requires a saliva-based COVID-19 test at least every 14 days (even if vaccinated) and a current Health Check - if you take the saliva test on the same day you wish to visit the library, ask for a proof of testing form at the test site.

Entering and finding your seat

To enter the Daley Library, you will need to access the building at the southeast entrance (the IDEA Commons) with your UIC i-card.
