Visiting the UIC Library

The UIC Library has implemented an individual seat reservation system in the Chicago campus buildings. The new system ensures that you will have a place to study in the library that adheres to current University and Library safety guidelines. The system also enables us to keep an accurate log of visitors should contact tracing be required. Get information on accommodations for library use.

Reservation is now mandatory, for Seats, Computers, Printing and Circulation, when visiting the Richard J. Daley Library and the Library of the Health Sciences, Chicago. You can Reserve Now online.

All Library patrons visiting the Daley Library and the Library of the Health Sciences, Chicago must first self-administer a Health Check.

Entering and finding your seat

To enter the Daley Library, you will need to access the building at the southeast entrance (the IDEA Commons) with your UIC i-card.
