SUMMARY:Identifying retracted literature webinar
DESCRIPTION:This webinar series throughout spring 2025 is designed to help researchers, clinicians, and information professionals improve their ability to find, evaluate, and apply evidence. Covering key aspects of evidence-based practice, literature evaluation, and search optimization, these sessions provide strategies for enhancing research workflows and decision-making. Repeat of the first presentation in the series: Instructor: Tina Griffin, Associate Professor, Information Services and Liaison Librarian The production of new knowledge relies on scholarly conversation, usually through books and journal articles. We expect that those sources be true and accurate; however sometimes they aren?t and they must be retracted. This webinar explores the definition of retractions, how they are documented in different platforms, and what your options are for identifying them that you can integrate into your research workflow. RSVP to attend. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. | Event post: https://library.uic.edu/events?page_id=10137
