Celebrate National Library Week, April 13-19

The UIC Library celebrates National Library Week beginning April 13, joining a nationwide focus on the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities.

Commenting on this year's theme "Libraries Make a Difference," University Librarian Mary Case said, "The UIC Library strives to make a difference in the lives of our students. We provide the information resources they need to succeed in their classes as well as instruction in the skills to find and evaluate information they need to succeed throughout their lives."

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April., field_56ba6f8fdb00c
