Special Collections and University Archives has two locations on the University of Illinois Chicago campus. Each location holds unique materials, contacting staff prior to visiting will help determine which location will be best for your research needs.

If you are visiting in person, please book an appointment at least two business days in advance of your visit. You are welcome to reserve time on multiple days if capacity allows. Unfortunately, same-day appointments or walk-ins cannot be accommodated at this time.
  • Richard J. Daley Library

    Located on the 3rd floor of the Richard J. Daley Library, this location holds archival collections and rare books, as well university records and faculty/staff papers related to the east side of campus.

  • Library of the Health Sciences - Chicago

    Located on the 3rd floor of the Library of the Health Sciences-Chicago, this location holds archival collections and rare books focused on the history of the health sciences, as well university records and faculty/staff papers related to the west side of campus.
