You can make a donation by sending a check or credit card information to any UIC library location or through the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF). UIF is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization for the University of Illinois. Donors receive tax receipts from UIF.

Available funds include:

UIC University Library Fund – The University Library at the University of Illinois Chicago provides services and spaces to support student success.

UIC Library of the Health Sciences Fund – The Library of the Health Sciences, with libraries located on the Chicago, Peoria and Rockford campuses, supports students, researchers and clinicians in the health-related professions.

UIC Special Collections Fund – The Special Collections and University Archives department preserves and provides access to rare or unique materials such as rare books, photographs, archives, digital records, correspondence, maps and artifacts. The primary focus is the social, political, cultural and economic life of Chicago, art, the health sciences, history and science, and UIC history.

Gifts in kind

Gifts in kind are charitable donations that are goods or services. The UIC library is particularly interested in gifts of archives of Chicago-related organizations active in these areas:

  • Politics
  • Neighborhoods
  • Housing and civil rights movement in Chicago
  • Women’s history
  • Social welfare organizations
  • Design
  • Health sciences
  • UIC history
