Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS) are expanding at UIC. In May 2009, the Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a Master of Arts in Latin American and Latino Studies. HAPI Online is a key source for supporting work in LALS. It provides authoritative, worldwide information about Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Hispanics/Latinos in the United States. Topics include current political, economic, and social issues plus Latin American arts and letters.
