New resource: PILOTS – Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress
The Library is pleased to announce the availability of Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress (PILOTS), a new resource for UIC users on CSA Illumina. More than 30,000 citations lead to articles in journals, book chapters and books, pamphlets, technical reports, and other documents in several languages. For UIC users, links provide immediate access to full-text material in the Library’s collection. PILOTS is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and is produced at the headquarters of the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Its goal is to bring together a wide range of works belonging to psychiatry, psychology, social work, criminology, public policy, and more, on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events. Currently, coverage extends from 1871 to present. A good way to start your search is to use the PILOTS thesaurus (download in PDF format)., field_56ba6f8fdb00c
