Research Help – Online or In Person
The UIC Library has created a series of online tutorials designed to assist users with their research:
- Doing Research: An Introduction to the Concepts of Online Searching (interactive)
- An Introduction to UICCAT (audio)
- Accessing Article Indexes (audio)
- Academic Search Premier (audio)
Subject specific guides are also available. These cover topics such as African-American Studies, Art, Education, Film & Television, History and Women's Studies.
For health sciences users there are a number of online help guides and tutorials that focus specifically on health sciences resources, such as PubMed, but there are also guides on searching databases such as Web of Science and Current Contents and tools such as current awareness services and bibliographic management software (Endnote , Reference Manager).
