The University Library of the University of Illinois Chicago seeks a creative and service-oriented liaison librarian to provide clinical information support to the UI Health System and the College of Medicine’s (COM) clinical educational and research initiatives. This tenure-track position is situated within the Information Services and Research (ISR) Department of the Library of the Health Sciences; the ISR Department consists of Library liaisons to each of the six health sciences colleges on the West side of campus.
The College of Medicine (COM) liaison, as a member of the COM liaison team, will advocate for the needs of the college and UI Health System, design instructional materials, support research initiatives, and offer feedback on collection development decisions. The successful candidate will be the Library’s primary point of contact with clinicians, residents, and fellows in the UI Health System in Chicago, and will collaborate with liaisons to the College of Medicine programs in Chicago as well as regional programs in Peoria and Rockford.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Acquisitions Librarian, the Library Operations Associate performs acquisitions and cataloging duties to provide access to information for various communities. The LOA supervises Acquisitions unit staff, interprets and applies policies and procedures, and coordinate priorities and workflows within the department.
