Visiting the UIC Library

UIC Library buildings are currently open to UIC-affiliated patrons only, i.e. those with an active NetID.  Visitors must present an i-Card to enter.  Please see UIC ID Center for more information.

Masks are currently required.

Online chat is available during normal business hours.

Access to Special Collections and University Archives is currently by appointment only.  Please see the main SCUA page for more details.

Food and Drink Heading link

Food is not currently permitted in the Library.  Drinks are OK, but only in covered containers.  See Can I eat or drink in the Library for more information.

Reservations are not currently required for most seats in the Daley Library.  If the Library were to implement social distancing again in the future, this may change.  Please check back here for more information.

Study rooms and carrels are not currently available.

Most seats at LHS are available without reservation.  For a more private space, study rooms are also available; these do require an online reservation.

Please see the map below for the location of all available study spaces: the zone marked “F” on Level 1.

Other map colors represent Library seating which do not currently require a reservation. If the Library were to implement social distancing again in the future, this may change.  Please check back here for more information.
